Agreement
These terms are a contract between you and Matias Cristobal (Haabtime) (“Haabtime”). By signing in, creating a booking page or booking time through Haabtime, you agree to them and to our privacy policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service. You must be at least 16 years old, and if you use Haabtime for a business you confirm you can bind it.
What Haabtime does
Haabtime lets a host connect a Google Calendar, publish a booking link, and let invitees book time that is free. Hosts can charge for bookings; the invitee pays the host directly through Stripe Checkout before a slot is confirmed. Haabtime is a scheduling tool. The meeting or service itself is provided and sold by the host, not by Haabtime.
Your account
- You sign in with Google. You are responsible for activity on your account and for keeping your Google account secure.
- Give accurate information and keep it current.
- You grant Haabtime permission to access your Google Calendar as described in the privacy policy, and you can revoke it at any time in your Google Account.
Plans and billing
- The Free plan includes one event type. The Paid plan is a recurring subscription that includes unlimited event types. Current plans and prices are shown on the site and at checkout.
- Paid subscriptions are billed through Stripe and renew automatically each period until you cancel.
- The Paid plan is billed per active member of an organization, and the owner counts as a member. Adding or removing a member changes the price from that moment, with the difference prorated. A member who leaves stops being billed from then.
- You can cancel at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and you keep paid features until then.
- If a payment fails, your plan may move to past due and paid features may be paused until it is resolved.
- We may change prices with at least 30 days’ notice. The change applies from your next renewal, and you can cancel before then.
- Refunds are covered by the refund policy.
Host responsibilities
- You control your availability, event types and prices, and you are responsible for showing up and delivering what you offer.
- When you charge for bookings you are the seller. You are responsible for your own legal duties toward invitees, including consumer law (pre-contract information, the 14-day withdrawal right where it applies, and refunding within the legal deadline), licences, invoices and VAT and other taxes on what you charge. Prices you set should state whether they include tax.
- You write the cancellation and refund terms for each paid event type. Invitees see them before they pay, and you must honour them. You issue refunds yourself from your Stripe dashboard and answer invitee complaints and payment disputes. Haabtime may pass invitee details to you but does not mediate.
- You authorize Haabtime to refund automatically, on your connected Stripe account, a guest’s payment that arrives after its slot was released. Stripe’s processing fee on that payment is not returned to you.
- You are the controller of invitee data you receive through Haabtime and must handle it lawfully.
- Do not offer anything illegal, misleading or harmful through Haabtime.
Booking as an invitee
- A booking is a contract between you and the host. Haabtime schedules it. For paid bookings you pay the host directly through Stripe, and the host, not Haabtime, is the seller and handles refunds under the cancellation terms shown before you pay.
- You get a private link to view, add to your calendar, or cancel the booking. Keep it private, since anyone with the link can cancel.
- A slot is held while you complete payment and is released if payment is not completed.
- Cancelling a booking frees the slot. Whether you get money back depends on the host’s terms; see the refund policy.
Payments
Payments are processed by Stripe and subject to Stripe’s terms. Amounts are charged in the host’s currency (euro or US dollar), and Stripe may show you an equivalent in your local currency at checkout. Haabtime does not store card details.
For paid bookings, the payment goes to the host’s own Stripe account. Haabtime does not receive, hold or transfer those funds and takes no fee on them. The host is the merchant: they are the seller, decide and pay any refund, and answer for payment disputes and chargebacks. Haabtime’s only payments of its own are the Paid plan subscription described above. If a guest’s payment arrives after the slot was released, Haabtime may refund it automatically on the host’s connected Stripe account, on the host’s behalf; Stripe does not return its processing fee on refunds.
A host who accepts payments must connect a Stripe account, finish Stripe’s onboarding (which includes identity checks), accept Stripe’s terms for connected accounts, and accept Haabtime’s seller terms in the dashboard. Paid event types can be booked only while the host’s Stripe account can take payments.
Acceptable use
Do not use Haabtime to break the law, infringe others’ rights, send spam, harass anyone, probe or disrupt the service, scrape it, bypass limits, or access accounts or data that are not yours. Do not embed or automate booking pages to abuse hosts or invitees.
Third-party services
Haabtime depends on Google and Stripe. Their terms apply to your use of their services, and we are not responsible for their outages, changes or decisions, including a Google or Stripe account being restricted, held, frozen or closed.
Our content and yours
Haabtime, its software and brand belong to us. We give you a limited, revocable, non-transferable right to use the service under these terms. You keep ownership of the content you add, and you give us the licence needed to store, display and transmit it to operate the service.
Availability and warranties
We work to keep Haabtime running, but we provide it “as is” and “as available”. Calendar sync depends on Google and can be delayed or fail, so check important commitments in your calendar. Nothing here excludes warranties or rights that the law does not allow to be excluded, including mandatory consumer rights.
Limit of liability
To the extent the law allows, Haabtime is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost profits, missed meetings, or lost data, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the greater of what you paid Haabtime in the 12 months before the claim or €100. This does not limit liability for death or personal injury, fraud, or anything else that cannot be limited by law.
Your indemnity
If you are a host using Haabtime for business, you will cover reasonable losses we suffer from third-party claims caused by your breach of these terms, by what you offer through Haabtime, or by claims arising from your paid bookings, including refunds, chargebacks, taxes and consumer-law claims.
Suspension and ending your account
You can stop using Haabtime at any time and request deletion through data deletion. We may suspend or end access if you break these terms, put others or the service at risk, or if the law requires, and we will explain why when we can. On ending, we cancel upcoming bookings. For any that were paid, you must refund the invitee as the host, since Haabtime holds no funds.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We will change the date above and give reasonable notice of material changes. Continuing to use Haabtime after they take effect means you accept them.
Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of Portugal, and its courts have jurisdiction, without depriving consumers of the protection of the mandatory laws and courts of their country of residence. Please contact us first so we can try to resolve the problem informally.
